NaNoWriMo – almost there…

I have to be honest – it has been one of the toughest months to write since I joined National Novel Writers Month. The writing has not flowed freely, even while turning off the internal editor, and it could be because of the choice of story. Or my mind wasn’t in it. Or both.

Granted, it IS a lot to do in one month, writing 50,000 words amongst the pre-holiday season, work and other domestic duties. But while I’ve been able to do this in the past with (almost) no problem, this year has been a struggle. Will I do it again next year? Absolutely. But I’ll need to plan better, either with a story I really, REALLY love or win the lottery so that I don’t have to work again! lol

It will be December in a few days’ time (!). I really don’t know where this year has gone. I’ll be spending it editing the masterpiece I created along with a couple of other works in progress.

To my American friends, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and took advantage of those Black Friday deals! My mom wanted to cross the border to go shopping (we live in Toronto), to which I said an emphatic “NO!!!” We’ll head down the 2nd week of December.
