Right. Now that I’ve got things up and running on this new website, it’s time to do something different – as in, let me talk about other stuff.
My taste in books range all over the place. Currently I’m on a fantasy kick and picked up a book from Bakka Phoenix Bookstore. For those who live in Toronto, Canada - or anywhere for that matter - if you are looking for anything sci-fi/fantasy, Bakka is the place. A true bookstore; no toys or miscellaneous stuff like that. Their website is under construction, but their blog is up to date. Chris Szego types a mean LiveJournal.
I’m reading SHADOW BLADE by Seressia Glass, and enjoying it. It has a twist to the usual demon hunter theme – the story involves ancient Egyptian mysticism blended into an urban fantasy. I don’t see enough Egyptian or other cultural fantasy novels, and I’m glad that I picked this one up! I’ll be getting the 2nd book in the series.
In other news, I’m now on the hunt for an agent – I’ve put together my query letter, and emailed it out this morning to the 1st agent on my list. Let’s see how that goes!
